Southside burglary ring busted by Operation Quebec Sight

Footage has revealed the moment police raided an alleged southside burglary gang, charging four men with 224 charges. SEE THE FOOTAGE

Moment police raid alleged Brisbane burglary gang

Four men have been charged with 224 crimes as part of operation Quebec Sight.

Led by detectives from South Brisbane, Logan and the Gold Coast, the four-month operation commenced after an increase of break-and-enters around the southside.

Detectives executed six simultaneous search warrants at Crestmead, Kingston, Park Ridge, Browns Plains, Hollywell and Southport at 7:00am Wednesday morning.

A 38-year-old Hollywell man was charged with 95 counts of fraud and one count each of producing dangerous drugs, possession dangerous drugs, possession of utensils, money laundering and contravening directions.

A 50-year-old Crestmead man was charged with 40 counts of burglary and one count each of money laundering and fraud.

A 27-year-old Park Ridge man was charged with 40 counts of burglary and one count of money laundering.

A 24-year-old Browns Plain man was charged with 40 counts of burglary and one count of money laundering.

The four men are due to appear in the Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
