WHAT'S ON: With Goomeri Show on this weekend it's not just the usual for South Burnett sport.
The show is on today, Friday March 23, through to Sunday March 25.
Sports to look out for at this fun-filled family event are the chainsaw race, wood sculpting, show jumping, the stockman's challenge, hay-stacking, laser skirmish, and a tug of war contest.
The second round of South Burnett's 2018 football competition is on this weekend.
There will be football games in Nanango and Kingaroy on Saturday.
Nanango Panthers will play Kingaroy Wests at Nanango.
Women's games are at 1pm followed by the men at 3pm.
Kingaroy Gunners and Gunnettes will play Barambah at Kingaroy.
Women are at 4pm and men play at 6pm.
A canteen will be open, and spectators can enjoy a feed as they watch the games.
Round three of the South Burnett junior rugby league is on this Saturday too.
- Under six years will play at 8.30am.
- Under eight years will play at 9.30am.
- Under 10 years will play 10.30am.
- Under 12 years will play at 11.45am.
- Under 14 years will play at 1pm.
All of the gate takings for the day will be donated to the late Andrew Cole's family.
Andrew, a Murgon Mustangs U14 coach, was killed in a car crash on the Burnett Hwy last Saturday.
