UPDATE: Power restored for some, more than 100 still in dark

UPDATE: MOST residents who previously lost power are now back online, but more than 100 are still in the dark.

According to Ergon Energy, residents in Kingaroy are still without power.

The following streets are affected:

David Pl, Graham St, Ivy St, Kathy St, Pine Ct, Premier Dr, Sonaree Dr, Summers Ct, Tessmanns Rd and Wieden St.

EARLIER: MORE than 1000 South Burnett residents are without power due to damaged power lines.

Ergon Energy spokesman Rod Rehbein said around 1460 South Burnett customers are experiencing a power outage.

Mr Rehbein said the outage was due to fallen power lines but could not confirm exactly where the lines were.

"At 11.47am the power was cut to repair the damage," Mr Rehbein said.

"We don't know how long this will last for just yet."
