South Burnett woman hospitalised after horse attack

A South Burnett woman has suffered head and chest injuries after being kicked and stomped on by a horse.

A woman in the South Burnett region has been flown to hospital in a LifeFlight helicopter after an incident with a horse on Monday afternoon.

An RACQ LifeFlight spokeswoman said the woman aged in her 50s and had been washing a horse on a private property at 1.30pm.

“It’s believed it kicked her in the chest and then stomped on her,” the spokeswoman said.

Queensland Ambulance paramedics attended the scene to join the LifeFlight aeromedical team in treating the woman.

“She was then flown to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition, suffering head and chest injuries,” the spokeswoman said.
