Three teenagers have been taken to hospital after their clothes caught alight in a caravan annex in the South Burnett.

Emergency crews rushed out to Birch Rd in Wattle Camp, about 45km south of Cherbourg, after a message from police at 8.17pm, a Queensland Fire spokeswoman confirmed.

When firefighters arrived 15 min later, the blaze had been extinguished and the crews stayed around to make the scene safe, she said.

Three boys, all in their early teens, were treated by paramedics on scene, while a rescue helicopter was called in to take one teen, who had significant lower legs, buttocks and hand burns, to the Queensland Children’s Hospital.

The other two teenagers were taken to Kingaroy Hospital, one with serious burns to his lower leg and hand and one taken as a precaution.

The boys were all taken to hospital in a stable condition.

Police said the fire was non-suspicious.
