Revealed: Winner of Roma’s cutest baby for 2022 is crowned

Dozens of babies were in the race for the title of the region’s cutest bub and the final tally has now revealed the winner! Meet Roma’s cutest baby and the adorable faces that rounded out the region’s top 10:

Dozens of beautiful babies were nominated for the title of Roma’s cutest baby and the competition was fierce, but now one adorable bub has been declared the winner.

At six-weeks-old, Benji Knight has been voted by Western Star readers as the town’s cutest baby so far in 2022.

Proud parents Billie-Jo Hurle and Darby Knight knew their son was a little heartbreaker, but were shocked by the win.

Ms Hurle said it was a very memorable week, with little Benji making the whole family melt three days ago with his very first smile.

“We’ve got some smiles coming out so that’s good. We’ve caught it on camera,” she said.

“He smiled for his brother and sister this morning, which they thought was brilliant.”

His siblings Eadee and Louie have loved watching their baby brother grow and start interacting with them, with Eadee in particular already showing her “maternal” side at just three-and-a-half.

“Eadee is so fond of him, she’s like a little mother hen,” Ms Hurle said.

Benji Knight has been voted by Western Star readers as the town’s cutest baby so far in 2022.

After having two children who are a spitting image of their mum, Dad is excited Benji’s dark features match his own.

“He’s happy about that. He’s like ‘I've actually got one that’s probably going to have dark hair and dark eyebrows’,” she said.

But while Benji is a tiny clone of his dad, his name has a special meaning to his mum’s side of the family.

“His full name is Benji Noel William Knight. Noel is after my poppy who passed away last year,” she said.

“So his name is a bit of a tribute. (Noel) loved kids so he would have been stoked by his name.”

Ms Hurle said her hope for her little boy was just happiness and health.

“I think that’s every parent’s wish that they have a healthy child,” she said.

“And I’ve got three very wild and free-spirited children.”
