A South Burnett man charged with raping his underage sister multiple times has denied the allegations as his trial begins.

The Kingaroy District Court was told the man coaxed the 14-year-old girl into giving him oral sex, before telling her to turn around and having penetrative sex with her.

Crown prosecutor James Bishop told jurors the girl had been staying with her 24-year-old half-brother when two friends came over to visit.

The man’s girlfriend and the two other friends, who’ve been called upon as witnesses, left the house to get McDonald’s, leaving the siblings alone for a couple of hours.

Mr Bishop said the girl was scrolling through Snapchat memories when he asked if she wanted to see his, which allegedly included several indecent photos of him.

It is alleged the man then raped the girl.

The court this week heard that when the alleged victim was later interviewed by police, she told the officers about other indecent acts allegedly committed against her by her brother when she was six or seven years old.

Mr Bishop said the man, who was about 13 or 14 at the time of these earlier alleged incidents, asked the girl if she wanted to play a game and took her into a shed. He allegedly tried to coerce her into performing oral sex by saying he’d “tell their dad she was being naughty” and that she’d “get a smack” if she didn't comply.

The man pleaded not guilty to five counts of rape and three counts of indecent treatment of a child under 16.

The prosecution is expected to call 10 witness throughout the course of the three-day trial before Judge Orazio Rinaudo.
