St George brawl: Man assaulted as dozens brawl outside Henry St pub

A night out exploded into chaos as dozens of people began brawling outside a St George pub, with the unruly bunch climbing on cars, punching a shop window, and sending off a 21-year-old man in an ambulance.

Police are investigating after a 21-year-old man was assaulted after a brawl involving dozens of people erupted outside a St George pub.

The St George man was knocked to the ground and stamped on by multiple people during the fight, police said.

It’s estimated about 30 were involved in the violent brawl which broke out on the corner of Henry and Victoria Streets just after midnight on March 19.

The man was transported to St George hospital by ambulance with a head injury.

A second man was also injured amid the chaos after he punched a window at a nearby shop and seriously injured his hand.

Two cars parked on Victoria Street were also damaged after someone climbed on top of the vehicles, breaking a windscreen and causing panel damage.

No charges have yet been laid and police urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
