Police request public’s help after black Hyundai Tucson stolen in Murgon
As property damage incidents surge in a small Queensland town, police are pleading for help over a particular car taken during a break-in.

Police are appealing for public assistance following a break and enter incident in Murgon last month.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the incident happened between 8am on Friday, July 25, and 9pm on Saturday, July 26 where unknown offenders gained entry to a property in Gore St.
The intruders allegedly stole car keys and made off with a black Hyundai Tucson, which was later found abandoned in a field along Barambah Ave near Murray Rd in Cherbourg.
Police are urging anyone with information regarding the break-in or who may have seen the black Hyundai Tucson in the Murgon or Cherbourg areas over that weekend to come forward.
Information can be reported to the police.
The incident comes on after a series of property damage cases in Murgon and Cherbourg.
On July 24, the Queensland Police Service issued a statement seeking public assistance after several wilful damage offences in the region.
One incident in Cherbourg happened on July 17, where vandals caused significant damage to a residence on Barber St by kicking the front door.
Another incident in Murgon on July 20 saw a concrete brick thrown at a business on Lamb St, damaging a window.
Over the weekend from July 19 to 22, a Cherbourg business on Fisher St suffered damage to its front glass door pane and windows.
Police are also looking into a trespassing incident in Arnell St in Murgon on July 17, where a person of interest was captured on CCTV.
