Police operation seizes drugs, charges 12 following crackdown across Kingaroy, Nanango

A police operation across Kingaroy and Nanango has led to a list of people being ordered to front court after officers allegedly uncovered their drug stashes.

A dozen alleged drug offenders have been nabbed in a large-scale police operation across Kingaroy and Nanango.

The drug raids were carried out on Friday, with police seizing marijuana, bongs, and prescription drugs from eight properties.

Irene Street

Kingaroy acting officer-in-charge Sergeant Brett Smith said a 32-year-old woman, 20-year-old man and 54-year-old man will appear in court after police allegedly found marijuana scattered around an Irene Street address in Kingaroy, as well as drug utensils.

All three have been ordered face Kingaroy Magistrates Court at a later date.

Arthur Street

Police charged a 51-year-old woman with drug possession after marijuana was allegedly found at an Arthur Street address, before charging a 26-year old Kingaroy man allegedly found in possession of marijuana seeds and drug utensils at a Murray Parade address a short while later.

Both will face court on Oct 11.

Thorn Street, Willowglen Street

A search of Thorn Street and Willowglen Street addresses also allegedly found drug utensils. A 26-year-old woman is due to appear in Kingaroy Court on September 27, and 41-year-old woman will appear at a later date.

Nanango

By 1pm police moved onto Nanango where they discovered marijuana in the kitchen and cupboards of a Goode Street house, as well as drug utensils. A 21-year-old Nanango man is due to appear in Nanango Magistrates Court at a later date.

A search of a Carbeen Crescent address found marijuana, grinders, a glass pipe and two bongs. A 29-year-old man and 23-year-old man will face court at a later date.

Police also charged two Ellesmere men after a search of their Pauls Parade property allegedly found marijuana seeds, prescription medication and drug utensils.

A 47-year-old man and 24-year-old man will face court at a later date charged with possessing dangerous drugs and drug utensils. The younger of the two was also charged with possessing a restricted substance.
