Police confirm incident on Albert St, Kingaroy after reports of man on roof

Emergency crews remain on scene at a property near the Kingaroy Hospital, after a tense situation where a man climbed onto a roof and refused to get down. All the latest details:

There are reports a man who had climbed atop a Kingaroy house and refused to come down has suffered a medical episode on the roof.

Emergency services remain on scene after the man had earlier climbed up and refused to come down.

Multiple fire, ambulance and paramedic crews rushed to the property on the corner of Youngman and Albert St just before 2pm.

A Queensland Police spokesman confirmed officers were called to the property near the Kingaroy Hospital and spoke to a person at the location.

It’s understood the man may have suffered a medical episode while on the roof.

The man is no longer on the roof and is believed to be in the care of paramedics at the scene.

The police spokesman said there was no threat to the public.
