Man found guilty of rape, taken into custody at Kingaroy District Court
A jury has found a man guilty of rape and not guilty on several other charges following a four-day trial that was mostly closed to the public in the Kingaroy District Court.

A Biloela man who was on trial in the Kingaroy District Court for the alleged multiple rapes and the indecent treatment of a child under 16 while he was living in Cherbourg was found guilty to one count of rape but not guilty for the rest of the charges.
The 30-year-old man, who cannot be named for legal reasons, pleaded not guilty to seven counts of rape, one count of maintaining an unlawful relationship (domestic violence) and one count of indecent treatment of a child under 16 but above 12.
There were three complainants including two children and one adult male who all gave evidence.

The court was mostly closed to the public as video recordings of the alleged victims were played to the jury.
The two child complainants were both living in the same house as the man at the time of the alleged offending.
South Burnett man charged with maintaining sexual relationship with child
The trial started on Tuesday, April 16, and concluded on Friday, April 19, when the jury of 10 men and two women reached a verdict at about 6.30pm.
The man, who was free on bail, was immediately taken into custody and will be sentenced at Brisbane District Court on April 30, 2024.
