A Kingaroy man has landed back in court after firing a gel blaster into a car while on probation.

Reyce Tyrone Liedtke, 24, appeared at Kingaroy Magistrates Court on November 21 after breaching probation by going armed so as to cause fear on July 23.

Liedtke’s lawyer submitted it was an “accidental discharge” which caused “minor damage”.

The magistrate encouraged Liedtke to “try and get the most” out of his probation.

The court heard Liedtke had previously pleaded guilty to the weapon charge, and was before court again to address the resultant breach of probation that offence caused.

The court heard his compliance was “almost perfect” besides the offence, and he reported being “involuntarily treated for a number of conditions including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder”.

His probation order was unchanged, and will remain in place until March 2026.

No further action was taken by the court, and magistrate Andrew Sinclair told Liedtke to “try and get the most out of (the probation) so that you don’t end up in strife again”.
