Luke Ralston facing dozens of charges in Kingaroy court

The identity of a young South Burnett man facing 30 charges over an alleged shooting which sparked a major police operation and locked down streets can be revealed.

A young South Burnett man who allegedly fired shots at a home and sparked a major police operation has had his case heard in court.

Luke Ralston, 25, faces 30 charges following his arrest at Kingaroy.

These charges include is charged with one count each of acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, attempted break and enter, possessing explosives, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a vehicle, wilful damage, failing to appear, possessing utensils for use and possessing restricted items.

He is also charged with three counts of dangerous conduct with a weapon, two counts of enter premises and failing to comply, three counts of stealing, seven counts of driving without a licence and four counts of breach of bail.

The Tarong man was held in the Murgon watch house and did not appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on Thursday, May 29.

Instead, he was represented by his lawyer, Layla King, over the phone.

Ms King asked Magistrate Andrew Sinclair to adjourn the matter to allow time to receive a brief of evidence from the police.

Several supporters of Mr Ralston attended the court hearing.

There was no application for bail.

Mr Ralston was remanded in custody to appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on August 8.
