Learner driver busted speeding more than 80km/h over limit, supervisor to face court for alleged drug charge
Police have busted a learner driver flying 142km/h down a residential street, accompanied by a supervisor who allegedly tested positive for drugs.

A woman will face court after police intercepted a car flying down a residential street in Kingaroy on Sunday, reaching a speed of 142km/h in a 60km/h zone.
According to acting officer-in-charge Detective Sergeant Scott Prendergast, police intercepted the 25-year-old man travelling down Tessmanns Road at 1.40pm on Sunday (May 16).
He was fined $1245 with an immediate suspension period of six months imposed.
The driver was accompanied by a 45-year-old woman, who police allege tested positive for an illicit substance.
She will face Kingaroy Magistrates Court on June 21 charged with being in charge of a motor vehicle while a relevant drug was present in her saliva.
Detective Sergeant Prendergast said this behaviour will not be tolerated on Queensland roads.
As Queensland records 100 deaths on our roads this year, Detective Sergeant Prendergast said this incident serves as a timely reminder for drivers to follow road rules and be more respectful toward other drivers.
