Kingaroy cops slap string of alleged with dozen drug, weapons charges in one day

A string of Kingaroy residents have been slapped with a dozen charges after police carried out massive drug busts that uncovered illegal ammunition, unknown tablets and other dangerous drugs.

A third of drink and drug driving offenders come from these two professions

Police charged eight people with 12 drug and weapons charges in a single massive day of drug busts, including one where a man was allegedly busted with ammunition and unknown tablets in his vehicle.

The 47-year-old was allegedly found by police with illegal ammunition, marijuana and yet-to-be identified tablets during a search of his car at the crack of dawn on November 29.

That same morning two teens, aged 17 and 19, two men and a local woman were stopped by police and slapped with drug driving charges over a five-hour period.

Two further men were charged with possession of dangerous drugs when officers allegedly found marijuana in a car and Kingaroy home.

The spate of alleged drug offending rolled into November 30 with a man and woman charged after police found marijuana and drug utensils at a Glendon Street home.

A further two charges were slapped on a 19-year-old man after cops allegedly uncovered marijuana and utensils at a Neville Place property in a separate incident on December 5.

All of those charged are due to appear in court at a later date.
