Kingaroy cops nab nearly a dozen alleged drug-drivers in less than a week
In just six days, Burnett police charged nearly a dozen drivers with drug driving across the South Burnett region.

Despite a mounting death toll on Queensland roads this year, some drivers aren’t getting the message – with police in Kingaroy catching nearly a dozen drug drivers in just one week.
Between June 1 and June 7, Kingaroy Road Policing Unit detected nine drug drivers at various locations across the South Burnett.
On Tuesday, June 1, a 40-year-old Wondai woman was intercepted driving on Coral Street, Kingaroy with a relevant drug present in her saliva.
On the same day 52-year-old Ellesmere woman was intercepted driving on Haly Street, Kingaroy and a 21-year-old Kingaroy man was intercepted driving on River Road, Kingaroy – both with relevant drugs in their saliva.
All three were issued with a Notice to Appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 5.
Then on Wednesday, June 2, A 49-year-old Burpengary man was intercepted driving on Rodney Street, Proston with a relevant drug present in his saliva.
He too was issued with a Notice to Appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 5.
On Friday, June 4, police located two men separately who both were intercepted with drugs in the saliva.
A 45-year-old Kingaroy man was intercepted on First Ave, while a 31-year-old Wattle Camp man was intercepted on Haly St.
Both will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 19.
The situation didn’t improve on the weekend, with a 22-year-old Murgon woman and a 27-year-old Blackbutt man both intercepted with drugs in their saliva on the D’Aguilar Hwy at Blackbutt.
Both will appear in the Nanango Magistrates Court on August 12.
Finally, on Monday, June 7, a 19-year-old Gatton man was intercepted driving on Moonya Street, Kingaroy with a relevant drug present in his saliva.
He will appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on July 19.
