A man has been slapped with a string of charges for allegedly vandalising property across Kingaroy, including a major shopping centre and the town’s iconic peanut van.
James Pernich, 29, was arrested on Monday after police allegedly located a swag of graffiti equipment used to deface several locations at an Alford St home.
Police claimed they also located a small quantity of marijuana and a drug utensil inside the house.
The graffiti items were allegedly used to damage various properties around Kingaroy including public transport, signage, statues, private structures and public infrastructure.
Mr Pernich was charged with 12 counts of wilful damage and further one count each of possessing graffiti instruments, possessing dangerous drugs, and possessing a drug utensil.
He is due to appear in Kingaroy Magistrates Court on March 3.
Investigations are continuing.
