The Gympie court heard the material was “hard-core” and some of the children were as young as three years old.

The then 21-year-old was placed on 18 months good behaviour, with his 228 days in pre-custody declared as time served with an immediate release.

A condition of his release was to regularly report to an officer, the court heard.

Federal prosecutor Daniel Trigger, who appeared via videolink, said Flight had breached his order without reasonable cause.

“He failed to keep good behaviour during the order,” Mr Trigger said.

Defence barrister Francis Martin said it was up to “his honour’s discretion” as to how long Flight’s good behaviour should be extended.

Judge Gary Long SC said Flight’s situation would become less tenable if he continued to fail to report.

He extended Flight’s good behaviour bond by six months, to end on December 4, 2023.
