NANANGO'S population of 3000 swelled to more than 6000 as country music fans flocked to the South Burnett for the Nanango Country Muster on the weekend.
The local country muster broke all previous records this year with more than 800 vans on site for the four-day music festival.
Nanango Show Society president and Nanango Country Muster organiser Les Schloss said the event had "exceeded all expectations".
"We broke numbers with the amount of vans we had staying on the grounds," he said.
"It's really amazing to see so many people come together for a great event like this."
Nanango Country Muster has grown rapidly since its humble beginnings 10 years ago when a weekend accommodated fewer than 40 vans.
Mr Schloss attributed the growth to the event's line-up and the way it was organised each year.
"The highlights for the people coming here are the professional line-ups of bush and country artists that we're able to put on each night," he said.
"I think people enjoy attending an event with a time schedule that is always met and they know the quality of the artists will be high."
Mr Schloss said seeing caravan parks throughout Nanango displaying no-vacancy signs before the weekend arrived was a great feeling.
"It's absolutely delightful to see the appreciation of the hard work that has been put in to make each muster an amazing weekend," he said.
Mr Schloss said plans for next year were already coming together.
"It's going to be just as good, if not bigger," he said.
