THE South Burnett is going to cool down this week, after a warm and humid weekend of rain.

Weatherzone meteorologist Jacob Cronje said this weeks weather would be a nice change from the constant rain and storms.

"Saturday there was between 15 to 18mm of rain. It was really hot and steamy too," Jacob Cronje said.

"Sunday was bit cooler."

On Sunday Kingaroy had 16.2mm of rain.

Things heated up again on Monday with a high of 30 degrees.

Over Sunday evening and Monday morning Glemore had 4mm of rain, Murgon had 7mm, Yarraman had 1mm, and Blackbutt had only 0.1mm of rain.

Kingaroy had 0.8mm of rain over this time period.

Jacob Cronje said Tuesday is going to be nice and cool.

"Tuesday will be the nicest day this week. It's going to be a great break from how humid it's been recently," Jacob Cronje said.

"There's going to be less than a mm of rain on Tuesday and a high of 25 degrees."

Following Tuesday it is going to warm up a little.

"Wednesday will have a top of 29 degrees," Jacob Cronje said.

"Thursday will be the hottest day of this week. We're going to see a high of around 31 degrees."

It is expected to be clear of rain from Wednesday onwards.

Until the possibility of some light showers on Sunday afternoon.
