Revealed: Dougie O’Brien crowned as Burnett’s cutest baby for 2021

Dozens of babies were in the race for the title, and the final tally has now revealed the winner! This is the Burnett’s cutest bub and the region’s top 10:

It’s been a tough competition for the title of the Burnett’s cutest baby for 2021, with more than 70 adorable entries battling for the crown.

Readers voted for Dougie O’Brien as the South and Central and North Burnett Times’ online poll.

Dougie just celebrated his first birthday, but mum Ebony Smith and dad Josh O’Brien said he’s been full of wonder and personality since he was just four months old, soaking in his surroundings before he could crawl.

Ms Smith said Dougie is already full of sass and always making her laugh, amazing his doting parents everyday with his beautiful nature and winning attitude.

“It’s like he’s smarter than he should be,” Ms Smith said.

Ms Smith said the winning photo was taken on the step of her Nanango backyard, saying - as a classic daddies boy - he absolutely loves the outdoors.

“He’s such a boy’s boy. He’s a real little dude,” Ms Smith said.

As she and Mr O'Brien watch their son grow, Ms Smith said all she really wants is for Dougie to follow his dreams and find happiness.
