New art rises from artist's studio ashes

Wondai Regional Art Gallery's March display will showcase the talents of four artists across three separate exhibitions.

WONDAI Regional Art Gallery's March display will showcase the talents of four artists across three separate exhibitions.

The exhibitions are open to the public on Friday, March 2, from 6pm onwards.

The opening night is $5 on entry and includes refreshments.

Patrons can enjoy a glass of wine and entertainment as they browse the new exhibition.

Burnt Offerings features artworks by Lee Barker.

This exhibition tells the story of when the artist lost many artworks in a studio fire last year.

Two Pastellists of the South Burnett is by friends Karol Oakley and Joanne Tollefson.

The two have painted together for more than 10 years.

Their exhibition is made up of pastel works.

Down the Track a Bit follows artist Lance Lamb as he travelled around Nara, Japan, the Darling Downs, Brisbane, and the South Burnett region.

St Joseph's Primary School has contributed artwork to the Kids Korner.

Following the opening night the exhibitions will be open from 10am-4pm every day until Saturday, March 31.
