There are dozens of jobs going around the South Burnett right now, with positions across a range of industries.
Residents could be earning well over $100,000 in one of the positions recently listed online by the region’s employers.

Mechanical engineering draftsman
An engineering firm based in Nanango is currently looking for a mechanical engineering draftsman, with a salary between $100,000 to $120,000 a year up for grabs.
The candidate will need at least four years’ mechanical engineering drafting experience in a workshop, including structural steel weldments and sheet metal development.
Experience with a 3D modelling package is essential.

Mechanical fitter
Swickers Bacon Factory in Kingaroy is offering between $95,000 to $100,000 for a mechanical fitter to work closely with the production departments of the facility.
They will need to jump to action when machinery faults or a breakdown occurs, make sure production runs smoothly, be able to work flexible hours, and more.
At least five years’ maintenance fitting experience and class C driver’s licence are also required.

Teacher
Brisbane Catholic Education has recently listed multiple job opportunities for new secondary school teachers to join the team at St Mary’s Catholic College in Kingaroy.
The school is looking for teachers with expertise in religious education, business, mathematics and digital technologies, and HPE for both primary and secondary.
The role pays $77,000 to $100,000 and applications close June 8.

Those with five years of maintenance fitting experience could qualify for one of the highest-paying jobs currently advertised within the South Burnett area, a maintenance electrician at Swickers.
The successful applicant will likely earn between $95,000 and $100,000 annually.
They will need to act with urgency when machinery faults or a breakdown occurs, ensure production runs smoothly, problem solve to prevent reoccurrences, and more.

Kill Floor Maintenance Planner
Swickers is also on the hunt for a kill floor maintenance lanner and will pay between $90,000 to $95,000 a year for the right person.
Reporting to the Site Maintenance Manager, the role is responsible for increasing the kill floors machine availability and reliability.
A few of their responsibilities include undertaking daily equipment inspections, conversing with production staff to identify areas of improvement, and planning corrective work for the kill floor department.

The Queensland Department of Children, Youth Justice and Multicultural Affairs are searching for a child safety officer, with $63,449 to $80,511 a year on offer.
The right person will need a bachelor’s qualification in social work, psychology, human services or behavioural science, and a driver's licence.

The school is after an accredited Lutheran school teacher, or someone who can attain accreditation through Lutheran Education Australia, to take on the role of acting principal
