Boondooma motorcyclist airlifted from Manar Off Road Park

A teenage rider was airlifted from the Manar Off Road Park at the weekend after being thrown from his bike and landing on his head.

A RACQ LifeFlight helicopter crew rushed to Manar Off Road Park, Manar Rd at Boondooma in the South Burnett, on Saturday after a male teenage rider fell from this bike and landed on his head.

The boy was suspected to have suffered injuries to his collarbone and spine.

The Sunshine Coast based rescue chopper was contacted just before 10am.

An RACQ spokeswoman said the RACQ LifeFlight Rescue Critical Care Doctor and Queensland Ambulance Service Flight Paramedic helped local paramedics treat the boy.

“The boy was airlifted from Boondooma to the Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a stable condition,” she said.
