The Dead Cow Gully ultra-marathon was back and bigger than ever for its second year, with runners coming from around the country for the huge event.
The ultra-marathon saw 168 runners taking on the challenge, completing as many 6.7km loops as possible with just one hour to complete the loop.
Runners only had whatever time was left between them finishing their loop and the next hour starting to rest, with the last man standing crowned the winner.
Barry Loveday claimed this year’s trophy after completing 37 loops for a massive total of nearly 250km.
Loveday’s total was a little short of last year’s record of 44 loops set by Ryan Crawford, who unfortunately had to pull out late on day two due to injury.
This year also saw a new Australian record, with 22 runners making it through the night to complete 24 hours of running in 24 hours.
