Two men were rushed to hospital while fire crews spent almost 24 hours battling a blaze that burnt down a house and caravan at Blackbutt.
At 1.10pm Saturday nine Queensland Fire and Emergency Services crews were called to a house fire at Crumpton Dr, Blackbutt North.
The blaze was extinguished and fire crews left the scene at 10.45am Sunday.
Three people were confirmed to be outside the property while the home, a timber structure, a caravan and a grassy paddock burned.
A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman said two men believed to be in their 50s were taken to Kingaroy hospital.
“They were both in stable condition, suffering from smoke inhalation,” she said.
The police were called to the property and declared a crime scene, the investigation is ongoing.
A QFES spokesman said around 5pm the hot spots were dampened down.
“The SES arrived on scene at 6.30pm to control traffic and provide extra light as it went dark,” he said.
“The fire investigation unit were tasked to the job.
“On Sunday at 10.45am, police were still on scene but the QFES crews had finished.”
