Award-winning artist to lead Wondai watercolour workshop

AWARD-winning artist Graham W Smith will share his experience with South Burnett artists at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery.

Mr Smith is a fellow of the Royal Queensland Art Society and a master pastellist with The Pastel Society of Australia.

He has completed more than 2700 paintings in the past 50 years, and was a finalist in the Fabrianao in Acquarello Exhibition in Italy last year.

Mr Smith will teach a two day watercolour workshop at the Wondai Regional Art Gallery on the weekend of March 2-3.

This workshop will include demonstrations of landscape and seascape painting.

"Later in the year I will be having a solo exhibition of over 50 works in all mediums at the gallery for one month,” Mr Smith said.

This will open on Friday, September 6.

"My visit is to source some local subjects to have in the exhibition,” he said.

"So far I have completed three oil paintings of the South Burnett region.”
