Kingaroy and Nanango teachers were ready to welcome the 2024 Prep students for their first day of school with toys and other exciting activities to help calm nerves and emotions from both the children and their parents on Monday and Tuesday.
The South Burnett Times was also there to capture the smiles and excitement of the special milestone.
Education Minister Di Farmer welcomed all students from around Queensland on Monday, including more than 43,000 Prep students across the state who start their school journey this week.

“I want to give a special welcome to all the Preppies, who are just starting their learning adventures, today is a super exciting day for all students, mums and dads, our staff and school communities,” she said.
