Several dams across the southeast are spilling as scattered showers continue across the state.
Hinze dam on the Gold Coast is at 101 per cent, while Lake Macdonald at Six Mile Creek is at 100.3 per cent.
Despite some very welcome rain in the Darling Downs area, however, dam levels at Warwick’s Leslie Dam remain at just 12.47 per cent.
Dam levels in the Townsville region remain at 50 per cent capacity, despite falls in excess of 100mm in the region.
Rollingstone recorded 116mm of rain since 9am on Wednesday, while Toomula had 142mm in the same time frame.
With a high chance of rain across the southeast today, the last day of 2020 is expected to reach a top of 29C in Brisbane.
According to the weather bureau, the Sunshine Coast has a 90 per cent chance of rain, but only up to 15mm is predicted while the Gold Coast could see up to 10mm today.
Scattered showers are forecast to continue for the rest of the week, with temperatures to remain below 30C until Sunday.
