Your complete guide to this year's Roma Show

From sheep dog trials and cooking demonstrations to circus workshops, there is something for everyone.

WHERE better to spend the Roma show weekend than at the show itself? From sheep dog trials and cooking demonstrations to circus workshops, there is something for everyone.

Friday

Sheep dog trials start at 6.30am in the dog trial rings before the horse ring and showjumping eventsin the main ring start at 8am.

Stud beef judging and sheep classification both start 9am, with judging throughout the day.

Kids' activities start 9am with a Lego workshop, and again at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

There are cooking demonstrations with Alison Alexander at the Entertainment Marquee at 9.30am and 12.30pm.

Dinkrum Dinosaurs make their first appearance at the Main Bar/Secretary's Office at 11am, and again at 1pm, 2pm and 3.15pm.

There is a fashion parade at 11.30am and First Light circus workshops in the grandstand at 12pm and 3.30pm.

The show officially opens and the plough will be blessed from 12pm, before the announcement of Miss Showgirl and Rural Ambassador winners, as well as the winner of the garden sculpture.

Roma's own Susan Sweet Art's cake decorating workshops will keep things sweet in the canteen kitchen at 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

The night entertainment kicks off with a fashion parade at 5.30pm, before the junior showjumping finals in the main ring.

The Whiskey Mountain Boys bring live music to the Machinery Bar from 7.30pm.

Saturday

The morning begins with sheep dog trials from 6.30am, horse ring and showjumping events from 8am in the main ring, junior judges and paraders in the stud cattle ring from 9am, and poultry judging at the same time.

Once again there are Lego workshops at 9am.

Roving Theatrical Stilt Walking will be around from 10am and Trickery Entertainment at 10.30am.

Guinea pig judging in the poultry pavilion begins at 10.30am before a Ute Show revs things up a notch in Machinery Alley from 11am.

There is a fashion parade hitting the catwalk at 11.30am, with another one at 2.30 and 5.30pm.

There are Lego workshops and Dinkrum Dinosaurs throughout the day, and if you missed it on Friday check out Susan's Sweet Art at her workshops at 2.30pm and 3.30pm.

If there's one event you can't miss, it's the family night entertainment. Kicking off at 6pm, the showjumping six bar finals will keep the main ring entertained before they make way for the SES Static Display, and then watch the sky light up with the Roma Show Fireworks at 7.30pm.

Don't go away after, Iain Jackson will keep the good times coming as he plays at the main bar from 8pm.

Don't miss

On display all today and tomorrow are photography, art, handicraft, cookery and cake decorating in the art pavilion. Horticulture, farm and garden, home brew and the history lodge is under the grandstand.

In the marquee pavilion there are youth exhibits, handwriting and school displays on show all day.

A kids' corner and reptile and snake display are in the poultry shed, the wool pavilion has much to see, plus there are miniature horses in Machinery Alley.

Make sure you show the kids the animal nursery.
