A woman has been taken to hospital after she was rescued from her vehicle after it became caught in flood water.
Emergency services were called to the scene on the Moonie Highway at Westmar, where a female passenger was stranded in her vehicle at about 9pm Wednesday.
A Queensland fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said that the floodwaters were approximately 300mm across the road.
Two swift water technicians crossed the fast-flowing water, and were able to recover the occupant to dry land.
Paramedics then transported the woman to St George Hospital.
Before emergency services left the scene, the car was removed from the water.
