More heavy rains and thunderstorms are expected to batter the Maranoa region this wee, with some parts of the Maranoa expected to get up to 100mm in just one day this week.

Residents of Roma and the Maranoa are in for a serious drenching this week, with experts predicting some areas could see as much as 100mm in a single day this week.
As much as 63.2mm fell in Roma overnight Sunday, according to the Bureau of Meteorology.
That dumping alone was around 5mm more than the average November rainfall of 56.6mm, meaning that after only one week Roma has had a month’s worth of rain.
According to BOM, storms will start developing in the afternoon on Monday, with outlying areas expected to be hit by heavy rainfall.
Though they predict the possibility of storms throughout the week, BOM says conditions will become severe again on Thursday.
That is when rain is expected to begin to develop, with a dumping of as much as 25mm forecast for Wednesday and Thursday as part of a statewide weather system.
Some remote areas are expected to see phenomenal amounts of rain late in the week., with BOM saying some will “easily” receive 100mm.
The forecast is similar in Charleville where downpours of up to 20mm are expected on Wednesday, and as much as 40mm on Thursday.
The possibility of severe thunderstorms is also forecast for Charleville on Thursday, with wind speeds of up to 35km/h lashing the area.
The stormy conditions are expected to clear by Friday.
It comes just a week after heavy rain and strong winds battered the region, destroying a target shed at a shooting range in Muckadilla and wrecking havoc at Mucka Pub.
Pub owner Christy Coomber says the pub was left mostly unscathed, despite video online of wooden barrels being sent flying by fast winds.
“I have no idea how no one was hurt,” she says. “We are all very lucky in that respect.”
Queensland Fire and Emergency Services advises that people should:
* Move your car under cover or away from trees.
* Secure loose outdoor items.
* Seek shelter, preferably indoors and never under trees.
* Avoid using the telephone during a thunderstorm.
* Beware of fallen trees and powerlines.
