Roma police investigate incident that left woman in her 40s hospitalised

A violent dispute in the southwest region on Friday evening saw a woman taken to hospital with a head injury. Here’s what we know.

Police are investigating an incident which saw one woman receive a nasty blow to the head after a dispute reportedly broke out on a street in Queensland’s southwest.

It’s understood police were called to a disturbance on Downs St in Roma at 6.30pm on Friday, where a woman in her 40s was located with a minor head injury.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said paramedics were called to the address by police for a reported assault, where they assessed and transported the woman in her 40s.

A Queensland Police Service spokesman said a second woman in her 40s is assisting police with their investigation.

Anyone with information in relation to the incident is urged to contact police.

Investigations are ongoing.
