Queensland police investigate spate of threats to hospital and health facilities

Queensland police are investigating threats that have been made to health and medical facilities across the state.

A number of Queensland hospital and health facilities are on edge, having reportedly received anonymous threats to their safety.

It is unclear at this stage which facilities have been threatened.

A Queensland Police spokesman said police were aware of the threats and have tasked specialist officers, who are currently liaising with partner agencies to understand how many facilities received the threat, and its validity.

The QPS spokesman declined to provide further information while initial inquiries are ongoing.
