A Roma woman is set to appear in the Roma Magistrates Court after her involvement in an alleged drunken car accident on Saturday.
The 27-year-old woman allegedly got behind the wheel with a breath alcohol concentration more than four times the legal limit on June 15.
District Crime Prevention Co-ordinator at Roma Police Station, Sergeant Daniel Clarke, said police were called to the incident on the Warrego Highway, 5km west of Roma, at about 10.30pm on Saturday.
“A silver Toyota wagon veered onto the wrong side of the road and sideswiped rear trailers of a road train travelling in the opposite direction,” Sergeant Clarke said.
“Police will allege the Roma woman was located and stopped in her motor vehicle on the roadway.
“The woman was allegedly intoxicated and arrested by police.”
The 27-year-old allegedly returned a BAC reading of 0.210 once she was brought back to the Roma police station.
The woman is set to appear in the Roma Magistrates Court with one charge of driving under the influence of alcohol on July 16.
Her licence was immediately suspended.
