Police were out in force over the Easter holiday period to catch out misbehaving drivers in a statewide sweep. Here’s how many alleged drink or drug drivers were busted in Roma

While locals and visitors revelled in Easter in the Country festivities, Roma police were out in force ensuring safety on roads.

Through their targeted operation, police allegedly busted multiple drink and drug drivers.

A 25-year-old St George man was allegedly intercepted with a breath alcohol concentration of 0.086.

The man was charged with drink driving over the general limit, after he was intercepted driving a white Toyota utility vehicle on Marie St in St George at 8.44am on March 28.

He is set to appear in the St George Magistrates Court on April 4.

Police allege a 34-year-old St George man was driving on Victoria St in St George when he was busted with an alleged BAC of 0.085.

The man was intercepted driving a silver Isuzu vehicle at 9.26pm on March 28.

He was charged with drink driving over the general limit and is set to appear in St George Magistrate Court on May 8.

Police have further charged a 35-year-old St George woman, and a 45-year-old man with drug driving.

The woman was intercepted driving a red Toyota vehicle on Victoria St in St George, when she allegedly returned a positive drug test at 4.50pm on March 28.

The 35-year-old is set to appear in St George Magistrates court on May 8.

The 45-year-old man allegedly returned a positive drug test after he was intercepted on the Warrego Highway at Roma at 7.25pm on March 28.

He is set to appear in Roma Magistrate Court on May 15.
