True Crime: Three of the worst serial killers in history

A woman whose violent outbursts landed her in court has blamed prescription drugs and alcohol for her multiple verbal and physical attacks on a 32-year-old man and school staff member.

Darrel Ellen Weber pleaded guilty in Roma Magistrates Court to two counts of unlawful assault.

Police prosecutions said in April last year Weber was at the Settlers Hotel in Morven when she approached the 32-year-old victim and began hurling abuse at him.

The 40-year-old mother accused him of making sexual advances on her 10-year-old daughter and called him a “f–king paedophile” before shoving him to the ground.

The court confirmed there was no basis for Weber’s allegations and no evidence or charges were laid against the man.

Further, in August 2022 Weber became enraged when she noticed her daughter had a split lip when she picked her up from school.

The court was told numerous witnesses saw the defendant angrily storm onto school grounds and demand answers for her daughter’s injury.

A staff member offered to speak with Weber in private when she noticed she was upset.

However, the court was told Weber was unhappy with the result of the private conversation and yelled “c-nt” as she left the school grounds.

She told the court her behaviour was a result of alcohol mixing with her prescription drugs.

For the first charge of unlawful assault, magistrate Shane Elliott placed Weber on a 12 month probation order to assist with her alcohol intake and mental health issues.

For the second charge at the school campus, she was convicted and not further punished with no conviction recorded.
