A man was flown to Roma Hospital, after an incident involving livestock on a regional property on Wednesday morning.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokesman said paramedics were called to the scene at Broadmere at 8.50am.

The spokesman said the man suffered abdominal injuries after a cow kicked a gate, which then kicked a him.

A LifeFlight spokesman said the man was flown to Roma Hospital after the incident in the Banana Shire.

“It is believed the man, aged his 30s, was attending to cattle when a bull kicked out at the gate, striking him in the torso,” the spokesman said.

“The crew were tasked to the incident at around 9.30am in the Shire of Banana and landed the chopper in a paddock near the incident.

“The LifeFlight Critical Care Doctor and Flight Paramedic treated the patient alongside local Queensland Ambulance Service (QAS) paramedics.

“He was flown to Roma Hospital, in a stable condition, with chest injuries.”
