Missing Mitchell man Richard Kearns has been found alive after a desperate three day search by police.

Missing Mitchell man Richard Kearns has been found alive after days of desperate searching by police and SES crews.

Richard Kearns, 35, had not been heard from since Sunday, November 7. Police had held concerns for his safety as he had a medical condition.

He was last seen at a property near Mitchell-Saint George Rd, about 8km south of Mitchell at 10.30am.

Police launched a land search of the Arrest Creek area on Monday morning with the help of SES crews and members of the public.

The Surat Gas Aeromedical Service helicopter joined the search late on Monday afternoon, before taking off again at 11am on Tuesday.

Mr Kearns is described by police as being caucasian with red hair and hazel eyes, and approximately 180cm in height.

He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, thongs and reading glasses.
