Incredible footage of goat mustering shows how about 12,500 goats were mustered on a property in South West Queensland.
The muster was done by DustDevil Helicopters, who used two helicopters and six people on the ground to muster the goats, across an area of 34,000 acres near Bollon, Queensland.
A representative for Dust Devil Helicopters, Ben Donehue, said the rangeland goats were mustered regularly.
“(They) get mustered twice a year to be drafted for sale,” said Mr Donahue.
Mr Donahue said this time, the goats were trucked to Charleville for processing before export.
Mr Donahue said the United States is the biggest importer of goat meat from the Australian industry.
Goats are not native to Australia, but their hardiness has meant their population has prevailed.
Meat and Livestock Australia said the demand for goat meat is only growing, and Australian producers are increasingly turning to farming the animal.
