Police are investigating after a fire tore through a home at Roma in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency services were called to the house on Duke St South, just before 2am Thursday.
A Queensland Fire Department spokeswoman said three crews were called to the scene, as well as a speciality rescue team and a senior officer.
She said by the time the fire crews arrived, the timber and iron house was already well-involved in flames, but there were no occupants at the time.
By 3am, the fire was brought under control.
By 4am crews were just working to dampen final hot spots.
She said an investigation into the cause of the fire was under way.
No one was injured in the fire, a Queensland Ambulance Service spokesperson said.
A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said the property is currently vacant.
“The fire is currently being treated as suspicious and investigations are continuing,” she said.
