ROMA’S Royal on Ninety Nine now has new owners.

The hotel, owned by the Garvie family for just over six years will be taken over by The Waratah Group as of next month.

Owner Justin Garvie said the Royal on Ninety Nine has been an “impressive icon” for more than four years in the town of Roma.

“Our family would like to express their sincere gratitude to all of our customers and the support the district and town of Roma have given us in building and developing this business over the past six plus years,” Mr Garvie said.

“We would especially like to thank our loyal staff and wish them the very best with their new employer.”

Mr Garvie said the Waratah Group have purchased the hotel and will take over from next Thursday, November 5.

“They’re looking forward to putting their own mark on this outstanding business, and we wish them every success,” he said.

“The Royal on Ninety Nine will go on to service the people of the district and visitors to town, and we hope it will be a memorable meeting place for all for many years to come.”

The Western Star contacted The Waratah Group, however they did not wish to make a comment about the purchase at this stage.
