With more than 60 adorable nominations from across the Maranoa region, the votes have been counted and a duo has emerged as the winners.
Receiving a whopping 14 per cent slice of the votes, Pepper and Molly the wolfhounds were the clear winners, much to the surprise of owner Bayley Baks.
“I’m really surprised,” Mr Baks said.
“They’re pretty good-natured dogs to be around. Pepper is real friendly and Molly is real cheeky.”
When Pepper, 2, and Molly, seven months, aren’t spending their time pig hunting with Mr Baks they can be found splashing about doing their favourite thing – swimming.
Molly, who is described as the ‘hypo’ puppy, can’t leave Pepper alone and the pair are attached at the hip.
“They have a great bond, Molly is always lying on top of Pepper.”
Pepper and Molly were joined by many other worthy pups from across Roma. Check out who rounded out the top six below.
