A GROUP of talented Roma performers are set to take the Dalby Drama Festival by storm with their adaptation of the classic Alice in Wonderland.
The Roma performing arts team, comprised of students from both Roma State College and St John's College, is hoping to lure the audience down the rabbit hole when they take to the Little Players Theatre stage tomorrow evening.
Budding actors of all ages from across the southeast are to perform in the festival, which is now in its 24th year.
"This will be Roma's first performance in the festival in a decade,” troupe supervisor Trent Sellars said.
"The kids have adapted the play themselves, writing the script, and they have directed it themselves.
"They are nervous but excited. It is likely that they will be one of the younger groups there, as the festival caters to young adults.
"They are in for with a shot as far as the youth awards go. It's a great experience for them and hopefully they bring something home.”
