FOLLOWING on from the Kirstin Albeck Rugby 9s Memorial Day, organisers of the day Trent Knight and Jeff Connolly have gifted $6000 to Wayne Finn.

March last year Wayne was involved in a truck roll over between Morven and Charleville resulting in him being left in a wheel chair and spending nine months in hospital.

Mr Knight said the memorial fund-raising day also raised money for Max Naprasnick who was born 15 months premature.

"This memorial day has been a great day for the community and helping people out,” he said.

Wayne was overwhelmed by the support Mr Knight and his team had shown after joking the money would go towards beer.

"This money will really help out and when you are in this situation, but this will really help with the essentials in my life now and what the boys do is a really good thing for the district.”
