Woman taken to hospital following Thangool car fire

A woman has been taken to hospital after her car was engulfed by fire on a Central Queensland highway.

A woman has been taken to hospital after a car burst into flames on the Burnett Highway.

Emergency services responded to the incident which occurred just before 6am in Thangool on Wednesday, June 11.

A Queensland Fire Department spokesman said crews arrived at 5.50am to find the vehicle fully engulfed in flames, which were extinguished by 6.10am.

A Queensland Ambulance spokesman said a woman was taken to Biloela Hospital in a stable condition.

A Queensland Police Service spokeswoman said police also attended the incident.
