It was a case of the “right price at the right time” for the number plates on Kevin Stoddart’s striking Holden Kingswood that is turning heads at Rockynats 04.
The lina mint 1971 HQ wagon is adorned with the plates GASITUP, something the proud Ipswich owner said was quite appropriate.
“We trailered it up; it’s probably a bit too heavy on the fuel, hence the number plates,” he said.
“It’s running E85 and a Supercharged LS so it wasn’t economical to drive it from Ipswich to Rocky.”

Kevin said his partner Tracy saw the GASITUP number plates advertised on Marketplace and thought they would be a good fit for the car.
“They came up at the right price and we liked them because they suited the theme of the car,” he said.
Kevin has been to three of the four editions of Rockynats and is an avid fan.
“It’s awesome,” he declared.
“It’s a great event and anyone who hasn’t been here needs to come.”
