Two men charged over two-week Rockhampton crime spree

A restaurant, a shipping container and other businesses were among the locations targeted by two alleged thieves charged over a 2.5 week crime spree.
Two men have been slapped with 22 charges over alleged break and enters to steal thousands of dollars of furniture and a LandCruiser, among other charges.
Police alleged a Berserker man, 28, and a Norman Gardens man, 39, were involved in a spate of property crime incidents in Rockhampton between May 8 and May 27.
It is alleged vehicles at a Gladstone Road business and Elphinstone Street business were allegedly entered and unsuccessful attempts were made to steal the vehicles between May 8 and May 23.
Police also allege entry was gained to a McLaughlin Street business and two white Toyota LandCruisers were allegedly stolen at about 3.20am on May 11.
Police believe the pair then broke into a Bridge Street restaurant and two businesses on High Street were allegedly broken into, between 4.40am and 4.50am on May 11 and 4.50am on May 12 with no property reported stolen.
Police alleged they were involved with a white LandCruiser HiLux allegedly stolen from a licensed premises on Musgrave Street and later located at a Lakes Creek Road licensed premises on May 13.
Police believe they then gained entry to a shipping container at a Denham Street business on May 27 where a large number of furniture worth thousands of dollars were allegedly stolen.
Police executed search warrants on May 31 at two residences on Water Street in Berserker and Cassia Street in Norman Gardens and located a number of stolen items, along with methylamphetamine, marijuana and drug utensils.
The Berserker man has been charged with three counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, attempted unlawful use of a motor vehicle, and enter premises with intent, two counts each of enter premises and commit, possessing dangerous drugs and possessing drug utensils and one count of receiving tainted property.
He has been remanded in custody and is due to reappear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on July 7.
The Norman Gardens man has been charged with two counts each of enter premises and commit, receiving tainted property, and unlawful use of a motor vehicle.
He is due to appear before Rockhampton Magistrates Court on June 17.
