Woman in her 30s treated for a head injury

The RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue team was tasked just after midday to a private rural residence after reports of a horse fall.

A woman has been flown to hospital after the RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue team was called to a property outside Comet on Wednesday.

Shortly after midday it was reported a person had sustained a head injury after falling from a horse.

A Queensland Ambulance Services spokeswoman said paramedics were on scene treating a woman in her 30s.

An RACQ Capricorn Helicopter Rescue spokesperson said the Rescue 300 medical crew provided immediate critical care to a 33-year-old woman to stabilise her for the flight.

She was flown to Rockhampton Hospital for further treatment.
